The technical passport is intended for making up-to-date entries of authorized medical equipment services.
A properly run passport should contain basic data and operating parameters of the device, notes on its installation and working conditions and safe operation rules, data on inspections, repairs and replacements of parts. Each medical device used for medical procedures and diagnostics should have a technical passport. These include autoclaves, but also ECG, ultrasound, EEG devices, fetal heart rate detectors, germicidal lamps, inhalers, physical therapy equipment e.t.c.
The zero inspection includes checking the efficiency and tightness of the autoclave, it is performed at the manufacturer's premises before shipping the device thanks to why we can be sure that the documentation is properly kept from the very beginning of the autoclave's use.
