The device emits radio waves generated by high-frequency electricity. Electricity is converted into electromagnetic energy that reaches the tissues. As a result of friction of molecules, heat is released, the tissues are selectively heated to a temperature of 45-55oC. This phenomenon is called diathermy (diathermy or deep heating means that heat is produced inside the tissues and not supplied from the outside). Radio waves heat up the collagen fibers, which causes them to shrink and tighten, thus regenerating them. Their structures are rearranged. It is a procedure that facilitates the reduction of fatty deposits and cellulite as well as body modeling. In the first phase of the treatment, the skin is exposed to infrared radiation, which increases the temperature in the tissues. Cellular metabolism is improved, and metabolic products are removed outside by the sweat glands and the circulatory system. In the second phase, ultrasound plays a key role as it damages the adipocyte cell membranes and enables the reduction of cellulite. Under the influence of the ultrasound wave, fat cells contract, and the vibration reduces the orange peel effect.
The treatment is completely non-invasive and safe. Metooda is effective primarily in eliminating local obesity, it reduces adipose tissue where it is difficult to get rid of it with classic methods. However, it cannot be treated as a treatment for overweight.
