Carboxytherapy - a breakthrough in the field of aesthetic cosmetology

Carboxytherapy is an FDA-approved therapy using carbon dioxide, which is a significant breakthrough in aesthetic medicine due to its wide range of applications and high effectiveness. The treatment involves intradermal or subcutaneous injection of appropriate doses of carbon dioxide.

Carbon dioxide is a gas that is responsible for regulating blood flow and dilating blood vessels in the body. By administering it under the skin, we can accelerate the flow of blood, oxygen and nutrients, improve microcirculation and stimulate cells to renew.

The use of carbon dioxide

Dark circles under the eyes, biorevitalization of the face, biorevitalization of the neckline and neck, skin laxity (arms, abdomen, thighs, buttocks), cellulite (arms, abdomen, thighs, buttocks), excessive fatty tissue (arms, abdomen, thighs, buttocks), stretch marks, psoriasis.

There is a rapid release of oxygen atoms from hemoglobin to a place with increased carbon dioxide concentration. The vasodilator effect begins.

The full effect of the treatment will be visible after the series. In the treatment area, the skin will be tightened, smoothed and regenerated.

The first reaction to the application of carbon dioxide is immediate dilation of blood vessels and an increase in blood flow (erythema appears on the skin surrounding the injection site). Carbon dioxide in the tissue reacts with water molecules to form a molecule of carbonic acid. The mentioned acid lowers the pH of the tissue. At this point, the Bohr effect occurs: the lower the pH value, the weaker the bond between hemoglobin and oxygen. Therefore, during carboxytherapy treatment, the release of oxygen from hemoglobin is increased. Moreover, at a pH level of 6.8 and lower, the permeability of the capillary walls is increased, and at a pH level of 6.5 or lower, the elasticity of collagen fibers also increases and their hardness decreases. As a result of chemical reactions, the pH becomes alkaline, which ultimately leads to an anesthetic and spasmolytic effect. The tension of the muscles of the arteries and capillaries is reduced, and the skin temperature increases by 1°C. At the same time, the oxidation of fats from fat cells increases, and some authors report a direct lipolytic effect on adipocytes.
